SCREW CONVEYOR IN A PIPE

SCREW CONVEYOR

Detailed description
Technical characteristics

The screw conveyor in the pipe of the VKT type is used when moving the product in a horizontal and inclined position with an angle of inclination up to 70 degrees for a distance of up to 30 m. The product is transported from grain to dust, sand, ash and pellets.
The moving element - the screw - is made of a pipe with a spiral welded to it with a thickness of up to 5 mm.
It is possible to manufacture both stationary and mobile conveyors with a variable angle of inclination.
The productivity is affected by the angle of inclination, product characteristics, screw rotation speed and other parameters.

The successful design of the drive support with thrust radial bearings allows for a large margin of safety for long-term operation with small dimensions, maintenance of the screw conveyor is based on timely lubrication of bearings and replacement of the stuffing box or bushings.

In the intermediate sections there are inspection hatches and supporting supports with a sliding bearing (caprolon, fluoroplastic, bronze).

For heat removal in ash augers, special rotary fittings are used, which are mounted on the drive and final shafts.

In complex technological schemes, it is possible to additionally install unloading windows with slide valves or use a control cabinet with thrust and speed sensors to monitor the auger.
